WALT DISNEY WORLD® ACTIVITIES

Come for The 3rd World Candle Congress & Trade Show and enjoy the magic of Walt Disney World® and all it has to offer for you and your family as well.

At the Hotel

You don’t have to go far to enjoy water activities!  Behind Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club lie Stormalong Bay and Crescent Lake.  Stormalong Bay spans 3 acres, with water slides emerging from the life-size replica of a wrecked ship, lagoons, a slow river to float along in inner tubes and a sand-bottom pool.  At 25-acre Crescent Lake, guests can rent a variety of watercraft (such as pedal boats and pontoons) from the Bayside Marina, go on a fishing expedition or take a private cruise on the Breathless.

In addition to all the fun of Stormalong Bay and Crescent Lake, there's a 24-hour playground adjacent to Stormalong Bay and a 24-hour, high-tech game room.  Buzzing and blinking with exciting gameplay, Lafferty Place offers both classic arcade favorites and the latest in video gaming entertainment.  The Sandcastle Club, a supervised activity center for children ages 4-12, affords parents a carefree night on the town. Disney World Theme Parks

There’s something for everyone of all ages at the Magic Kingdom®, Epcot®, Disney’s Hollywood Studios™ and Disney’s Animal Kingdom®.  In addition, you can make a splash at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or plunge into the snow-capped world of Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park.  Other activities designed just for children include Disney’s Pirate Adventure, Mouseketeer Clubhouse and Wonderland Tea Party.

World Candle Congress Conventionears can purchase special tickets with savings that are ONLY available for attendees, their guests and family members (learn more at http://www.disneyurl.com/The3rdWorldCandleCongress).  Among the options are:

  • “After 2pm” Meeting/Convention Ticket – perfect for attendees on a limited schedule ($57.27 - $101.40 for 1-2 days for one theme park)
  • “After 4pm” Meeting/Convention Ticket – allows you to experience attractions after dark ($45.07 for 1 day for one theme park)
  • Park Hopper® Option – allows you to go from Theme Park to Theme Park on the same day ($96.71 - $304.20 for 1-7 days)

Dining at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club

From typical beach fare to steaks and seafood or a clambake, the restaurants at the Resorts offer a wide variety of choices sure to please your palate.  Among the offerings are:

  • Yachtsman Steakhouse - a relaxed yet sophisticated steakhouse
  • Captain's Grille - an American grill serving steaks and seafood
  • Cape May Café – a New England style clambake buffet
  • Crew's Cup - select beer and ales from around the world
  • Beaches and Cream Soda Shop - burgers, hot dogs and ice cream treats
  • Hurricane Hannah's Grill - convenient meals in a poolside setting
  • Martha's Vineyard Lounge - a quiet, intimate lounge setting

Disney’s BoardWalk Entertainment District

Within walking distance of the Resort, this complex offers multiple locations with late night hours.  Among the offerings are:

Atlantic Dance Hall is a nightclub showcasing cool bands and hot DJs for guests who are 21 years and up. This is the place to dance the night away!  (Open until 2:00 AM)

Jellyrolls is a lively piano bar with dueling pianos and audience sing-alongs for guests 21 years and up.  Try to stump the maestros with your requests!  (Open until 2:00 AM)

River Grille & Brewing Works is the only working brewpub at Walt Disney World Resort, and serves sandwiches, salads and award-winning beer brewed on the premises.

Kouzzina by Cat Cora® (Greek for "kitchen") is a casual family restaurant specializing in Mediterranean creations.

Flying Fish Café offers the freshest fish and seasonal ingredients combined with culinary skill to create New American cuisine.  Witness sensational creations prepared in the onstage kitchen.

ESPN Club allows you to watch nonstop-sports action, purchase merchandise and dine at the full-service restaurant and bar that specializes in beer, burgers, wings, and sandwiches.
